Beaver with a mohawk?
The story in this episode revolves around little Theodore Cleaver and his uncanny ability to lose money. He’s lost his lunch money repeatedly and thank goodness it’s not a school day or he might have lost it once again. Today in Mayfield, it’s Saturday and time for Beaver Cleaver to get his hair cut. Wanting to build up his confidence, Ward Cleaver gives his son the money for a hair cut and sends him away to the barber shop, all by himself. That’s a trusting father. In the comments below, please tell us about a time when your father was that trusting of you.
Well, June arrives home and finds out about Ward’s blind trust in his son and she says he shouldn’t have done it. June was right again. Beaver gets to the barber shop and after discovering he “losted” the money, tries to have the barber put the hair cut on his tab. He overheard another customer do that, but unfortunately, Beaver didn’t have a tab. Needless to say, he didn’t get the barber to give him a hair cut. This is one of the funniest early Leave it to Beaver episodes. You will enjoy it.
I’ve written a great devotional on how Christians should not be so judgmental of others when their big secrets are found out. The devo is included in my book, Leave it to God. You can check out the book right here.
And don’t forget to leave a comment below about a time when one of your parents trusted you or about a similarly bad hair cut experience.
