The app has a lot of promise with being able to stream TV but just like the Time Warner app it is still limited to just your own in home Wi-Fi Network. I work for Dish Network and I really enjoy using the Dish Remote app. With the Sling Adapter I have at home I can stream live TV to wherever I am as long as I have signal or an internet connection. It would be cool for Cablevision's customers if they make streaming outside the home available, but from what I have read they haven't mentioned that yet. It seems a little out of place that Cablevision would release this app right after what happened with Time Warner.
